Mary Ruth Kristine Risma: The Jill of all Trades

Resolute, genuine, and independent — that’s Ripple VAs’ Chief Growth Officer, Ruth.

Mary Ruth Kristine F. Risma is a young lady who is currently learning the ways of the law as a 3rd Year Juris Doctor at the Silliman University College of Law. Perceived by many as “Ruth” and sometimes “MR”, this exceptional Chief Growth Officer of Ripple is a passionate lady who exudes enthusiasm for outdoor sports, cooking, travelling, and hosting.

Ruth is the fourth of five children in the family. Being single-handedly raised by her mother, she has developed a sense of responsibility. She is often seen as hardworking and family-centred as a significant percentage of her time and earnings is devoted to her family. As her friends may perceive her, Ruth can be easy to talk to, outgoing, and straightforward.

Her family-centeredness and her aversion to squandering finances can be traced down to her struggles in life which taught her the value of family and money. As such, she works hard to attain financial independence and to give back to her family. Because of this, Ruth has already been in the workforce for a long time. She was once a financial adviser for an insurance company, a technical support representative at a BPO company, and a tour guide for approximately eight (8) years. She then worked as a cabin crew for an international airline. As an individual key to the growth of the company and the clientele, Ruth strives hard with her goals in mind — to have kids of her own along with a home she can share with her family, be a lawyer in the next three years, and put up her chain of business to achieve financial growth. As such, she commits herself to achieve her goals in the best way possible. The journey of Ruth is something Ripple VAs has witnessed and can attest to. With no background and experience whatsoever, she dived into the world of virtual assistance, where she landed her very first client through an interview two days after. After one month, she took on the challenge of applying as an Account Executive and got accepted to work with a great pool of professional teammates.

Through the help of her previous experiences and knowledge in travel, aviation, business process outsourcing, finances, and the service industry, she continually improved at after-sales and client care. From being an Account Executive, she is now the company’s Chief Growth Officer, where she is now responsible for training new Account Executives.

As the Chief Growth Officer of Ripple VAs, Ruth envisions Ripple VAs to experience increased revenue through sales and high client retention & satisfaction rate. To do this, she takes active roles in ensuring that the company’s key performance indicators are met and creating strategies, systems, and structures to improve our current processes for sales calls, lead prospecting, client communication, and other similar correspondence. Aside from that, she is responsible for conducting research, collaboration, and other forms of ingenious marketing strategies to keep up with the constant market trends. Driven by her passion for achieving her goals and dreams, she sees that she performs her duties and responsibilities with quality, accuracy, and efficiency. All of this is a story of growth and development, a story of transformation, and a story of inspiration. Having harnessed potential through one’s knowledge and background in many fields, that’s how Ripple VAs’ Chief Growth Officer came to be. Indeed, a Jill of a Trades — that’s Mary Ruth Kristine Risma.
