Signaling a departure from its traditional approach to identifying and nurturing team members, Ripple VAs have made Ripple Success Academy (RSA), their online academy, a mandatory step for all applicants and aspirants aiming to become Virtual Assistant Leaders (VALs, the company's term for their VAs).
According to Chief Operations Officer (COO) Shana Manzano, the company's Recruitment Department ceased operations at the beginning of March 2023, marking the official commencement of the new hiring protocol.
Additionally, the role of the Chief Recruitment Officer (CRO), formerly held by Cecil Encinares, was temporarily on hold to pave the way for the new process. Consequently, Ripple VA's traditional recruitment process is no longer in effect, signifying a complete overhaul of the company's hiring approach.
This strategic shift underscores Ripple's commitment to nurturing VALs with a comprehensive perspective on their roles. By making RSA a prerequisite, the company aims to attract and select candidates who not only possess technical skills but also exhibit a leadership mindset aligned with the company's bold vision and values.
Manzano explained the impact of this change on candidate quality, the development of the RSA curriculum, and the processes adopted by satellite offices.
She stated, "With our more assertive approach to leadership, we have recognized that investments in time and finances significantly contribute to a leader's mindset. RSA produces leaders who are also investors, and with this new pathway to Ripple, we envision the company becoming saturated with growth-minded leaders who will deliver top-quality services to its clients."
Following this transition, Manzano addressed inquiries regarding how the RSA program was adapted or applied to satellite offices' recruitment processes.
She revealed that Ripple's satellite offices are employing a hybrid approach to recruitment, integrating elements of both the old and new processes when selecting new VALs.
Furthermore, RSA students originating from areas where satellite offices are situated will be directed to their respective offices, further streamlining the talent acquisition process.
Elevating leadership through RSA
Operational since 2019, RSA has been instrumental in nurturing and developing VALs who multiply success through training and coaching sessions led by the company's seasoned coaches and specialists.
In addressing eligibility criteria for RSA enrollment, Manzano emphasized that as long as students meet the time availability requirements and possess the necessary tools, such as a laptop and internet access, they qualify for RSA enrollment.
The company champions inclusivity, ensuring that aspiring VALs from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to embark on this transformative journey.
Manzano further explained that RSA students must complete all of their output deliverables before receiving their certificate of completion or graduation.
Following this, they have the freedom to chart their career paths, whether by joining Ripple as a VAL or a Multiplier or venturing into the freelance world to lead their own agency or direct client base.
