A product of resilience and persistence amid tribulations and doubts — her strong belief to keep on moving forward gave her the leverage to overcome problems with both faith and grace… She is none other than Grace Cabatian, the tenacious woman from Riyadh KSA, and one of the many remarkable Virtual Assistants of Ripple VAs.
Grace was born and raised in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). She studied at Baguio City, Philippines, where she graduated Bachelor of Science in Information Technology: Major in Networking & Security. Apart from being an IT specialist, she is also a master in Graphic Designing and Photojournalism.
Her hobby is exploring techy stuff and other various worlds, like reading everything related to the clever ways of living using technology & minimalism, productivity, zero waste, etc.
She’s also a big fan of the Harry Potter Series, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit as they remind her of her journeys with God through her every season in life. Apart from her spiritual inclination, she’s also drawn towards the Hamilton & In The Heights musical theaters because of the world issues depicted in the plays.
On the other hand, she believes that her purpose in life is to live in freedom according to HIS will. Ten years later, she sees herself as someone who hopes for the future despite being taught to focus on the present. She shares how she wants to see the seeds she planted grow, prompting her to continue planting, watering, and moving forward.
However, just like everyone else, she went through many challenges to become someone she is now.
To possess that tenacity and grace is no easy feat. She faced a lot of battles in life, both internally and externally.
“…it always seems so heavy, and there will be sucky times, for sure. But in my experience, not quitting led me here. Three years of persistence led me to be broken down to my core. Get asked every day, ‘can you still do it?’ ‘do you still love it?’ It’s crazy draining. But I love it. It reminds me of my purpose.”
With determination, she bounced right back every time. “I believe in choice. No matter how unfortunate a situation is, choosing grace & reminding myself of what I’ve been through and the people before I have been through, it makes sense to choose to carry on.”
“This is why Ripple is an answered prayer for me. After the trauma of being a part of companies that made me feel like I’m expendable... I’ve decided to believe and pray for a workplace that honored God in everything they did. I’m glad to have a family that’s worth building on because its foundation is Jesus.”
Grace’s ordeal tells us that difficult times will always be present in anyone’s journey. No matter how people deal with problems, they must never forget that the process will sometimes break and tear them to pieces, but the (end) result will eventually put every piece of them back together, making them whole again.
Thus, when such trials come, we muster the courage to move forward and face them with both tenacity and GRACE.
