Ripple VAs and Shawn Shepheard Strategic Focus Session for Long-Time Clients
25 August 2026 | Ripple VAs
Growth can make a business exciting, but it can also make the work feel heavier. Priorities multiply. Decisions come faster. Leaders carry more, even when the team is already working hard.
At Ripple VAs, we see this often. Our clients are building businesses, serving their own customers, managing teams, and making choices that affect the next stage of their growth. Our role may begin with virtual assistant support, but the relationship often becomes something deeper: a long-term partnership built on trust, consistency, and shared progress.
That is why we were honoured to host a special Strategic Focus Gameplan session with Shawn Shepheard, exclusively for our long-time clients.
The Ripple VAs and Shawn Shepheard Strategic Focus Session for Long-Time Clients was created as a meaningful thank-you to the clients who have been part of the Ripple family for more than a year. It gave them space to pause, reflect, and think through what matters most in their business right now.

A special thank-you to our long-time clients
Long-term relationships deserve more than routine check-ins. They deserve care, attention, and moments that recognised the trust behind the work.
This session was our way of saying thank you to the clients who have stayed with Ripple VAs for more than one year. These clients have trusted our team through busy seasons, shifting priorities, new systems, and the daily realities of running a business.
That trust matters to us.
Every client relationship carries a story. Some started with a need to free up time. Others needed help with admin work, operations support, customer care, or consistent follow-through on tasks that were slowing the business down. Over time, the work became more connected. Teams learned each other’s rhythms. Communication grew smoother. Support became more natural.
We wanted to give something valuable in return, not just another resource or general webinar. We wanted our long-time clients to have access to a conversation that could help them think clearly about their next steps.
The session was designed around a simple idea: leaders need room to step back.
When the day is full of messages, deadlines, team concerns, and decisions, it can be hard to ask bigger questions:
Where should my attention go now?
What is taking too much energy?
What needs to change before growth becomes harder to manage?
What kind of support would actually make the next season better?
What am I tolerating that is slowing the business down?
These are not small questions. They are the kind of questions that shape how leaders spend their time, how teams work together, and how businesses grow with more intention.
Why we invited Shawn Shepheard

Shawn Shepheard has spent 26 years coaching family business owners across North America. His work focuses on helping leaders gain clarity, grow their businesses, and build success without constantly feeling stretched too thin.
He is also the author of Stop Stepping in Stupid and the host of the Stop Stepping in Stupid podcast. Through his coaching, writing, and conversations with business owners, he has built a practical approach to leadership challenges that many entrepreneurs recognise right away.
Shawn has also coached leaders within the Ripple network, including our own CEO, Atty. Jezrel Perez. That connection made the session even more personal for us. We have seen the value of having a clear, direct, and honest conversation with someone who understands the pressure of leadership.
It was a chance to speak with someone who has spent decades helping business owners look at their challenges with fresh eyes.
That difference matters.
Many leaders already know the surface-level advice. They have heard that they need better systems, better delegation, stronger teams, and clearer goals. But knowing the advice and knowing what to do next are not the same thing.
A useful conversation helps connect the dots. It asks the right questions. It looks at what is happening now, not what worked five years ago or what might work for someone else.

A conversation focused on what matters most
During the Strategic Focus Gameplan session, clients had the opportunity to think about areas that often get buried under the daily demands of running a business.
When a business is growing, urgent work can crowd out important thinking. A client issue needs attention. A team member needs direction. A process breaks. An email thread gets longer than expected. A decision that should have taken 10 minutes turns into a whole morning.
None of these things are unusual. They are part of business ownership. But when they pile up, leaders can lose sight of what needs their best attention.
The session encouraged participants to pause and ask where their focus could create the greatest impact. The value of this session came from slowing down enough to look at these areas honestly.
Sometimes, the most valuable thing a leader can get is not another strategy document. It is a better question at the right time.
A meaningful moment for the Ripple community
Our long-time clients have helped shape Ripple VAs. Their trust, feedback, and partnership have influenced how we grow, how we train, and how we think about service.
Hosting this session with Shawn Shepheard gave us a chance to honour that relationship in a practical way.

It also reflected one of our core beliefs: growth should be supported with care.
Business owners should not have to figure everything out alone. Leaders need space to think, people they can trust, and conversations that help them see the next step more clearly.
We are grateful to Shawn for sharing his time and experience with our client community. We are also deeply grateful to every long-time client who has chosen to grow with Ripple VAs.
Their trust is never treated as ordinary. It is something we aim to earn again through consistent work, honest communication, and support that grows with the relationship.
Looking ahead with clearer focus
The Strategic Focus Gameplan session was more than a client event. It was a reminder to slow down long enough to ask better questions.
At Ripple VAs, we remain committed to supporting our clients not only through the work we do, but through the relationships we build over time. We will continue looking for ways to bring value to the people who trust us with their business support.
To our long-time clients, thank you for being part of the Ripple family. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and the work you continue to build.
We are proud to support you, and we are excited for what comes next.
